| Gleann Cholm
Cille Questions? See our FAQ page! and here: for the 2003 slides! This Gaeltacht area of southwest Donegal, named after St. Colm Cille, is located in the scenically splendid Sliabh Liag peninsula. The region is renowned for its wealth of traditional culture, music and prehistoric settlements, as well as the excellent amenities available here, such as the famous Folk Village, founded as a result of notable community effort, to which the work of Oideas Gael continues to contribute. An tOireachtas, the major celebration of Irish language and culture, took place here in October 1989. |
